SME Infocomm Package (SIP)

The SME Infocomm Package (SIP) is an initiative from IDA to help SMEs to develop their web presence for their businesses.

The subsidy is available to 5,000 SMEs on a first-come-first-served basis. The SIP will be available until 30 April 2010. An extension may be considered if there is sufficient demand from the SMEs.

To qualify for the SIP, your company must meet ALL the criteria below:

  1. You are a local SME with
    • at least 30% local shareholding;
    • less than S$15 million fi xed assets,
    • less than 200 employees (applicable tonon-manufacturing sector only).
  2. You do not already own a website
  3. Your purchase includes the development of a website
  4. or web pages for your business
  5. You have not claimed under this initiative before
The subsidy covers any of the items below, capped at S$2,000 per SME:
  • 80% of monthly broadband subscription charges for 12 months
  • 80% of monthly hosting and maintenance of website or web pages for 12 months
  • 80% of website or web pages development efforts

We will help you to apply for the SIP through our partners. The typical queue time for SIP grant application is 3 to 6 months. Upon receiving the grant, we will pay the $1000 grant back to you.
 
Local Enterprise Technical Assistance Scheme (LETAS)

SPRING SINGAPORE offers Enterprises a  Local Enterprise Technical Assistance Scheme (LETAS) that provides grant to engage external consultants to implement quality management and IT systems, including ISO certification and upgrading of computer systems.

LETAS subsidises up to 50% of the costs of hiring the consultant. The funding support for IT projects does not cover hardware and software costs.

You can apply for the Local Enterprise Technical Assistance Scheme if your company meets these criteria :

  • registered or incorporated in Singapore
  • at least 30% of your shareholding is local
  • your company’s group fixed assets are worth below $15 million
  • you have not more than 200 employees (for companies in the services sector)
